Kendrick Lamar “good kid, m.A.A.d City” First Week Sales Report Posted: 31 Oct 2012 03:28 PM PDT Kendrick Lamar has reached his first week sales barrier for his good kid, m.A.A.d City album.  The projections for first week sales were lower than expected.  Kendrick sold a whooping 242,122 copies his first week.  This is impressive since nowadays most rap albums sell less than 200,000 its first week.  His hard work has definitely paid off. Congratulations my dude.  Good job getting your name out there and letting the world know about your album.  Keep gettin busy out here!  There was nothing you could do against Taylor Swift, but that’s a given!! Natina Reed From 90′s Girl Group “Blaque” Killed In Car Accident Posted: 28 Oct 2012 04:46 AM PDT Natina Reed was killed in Atlanta after she was struck by a car.  She was 1/3 member of the 90′s girl group Blaque which was popular for their song “808” (see video below). She was hit on Friday (Oct 26th) at about 10:30PM, but today Sunday (Oct 28) is her birthday.  She would’ve been 33 years old today.  The singer was fatally hit while she walked on a Georgia highway. The driver of the vehicle called *911 while another passenger performed CPR, but she was pronounced dead at Gwinnett Medical Center at 10:59 p.m. E.S.T..  No charges were filed against the driver and police are investigating why the singer was walking on the highway. Natina, a protege of Lisa “Left Eye” Lopez was a singer and actress.  Besides the song “808″ the group was also popular for another song titled “Bring It All To Me“.  She also was an actress in the movie Bring It On where she worked alongside Gabrille Union. Her former group members Brandi Williams and Shamari Fears-Devoe released an official statement for the untimely passing of their friend, On Behalf of Blaque and the entire Left Eye Music Family, "We are devastated by the loss of our group member, sister and friend Natina Reed. Because of the enormous support of Blaque fans and our love for each other, Blaque officially reunited this fall and we were in the process of working on a new album and a reality show. Natina continuously embodied the pioneering spirit of Blaque and her undeniable creativity touched the hearts of fans everywhere. Natina was a mother, sister, accomplished songwriter, artist and friend. We ask for your prayers at this time for Natina's family. She will forever be missed and her global influence eternally felt. We thank God for the experiences we shared." Natina is survived by her son Tren Brown who is also the son of rapper and ex Dogg Pound member Kurrupt.  It’s a sad day.  May she rest in peace. Weezy Suffers A Severe Migraine Or Seizure? Not Sure But He Was Hospitalized Twice Posted: 26 Oct 2012 11:49 PM PDT On Friday morning Lil Wayne took a trip to the hospital after his private jet did an emergency landing in Texas.  Reps for the 30-year old rapper say he suffered a “severe migraine” and “dehydration”  saying the reports of him having an epileptic episode are false and overexaggerated. However, Weezy was hospitalized twice in a single day, which makes it seem serious.  Though, he was also released within hours both times and put on “mandated rest” which backs the reports put out by his camp. Whatever the case I’m glad homie is doing okay.  Let’s hope nothing more occurs and he gets the rest he needs.  Take care of yourself my dude. Anyway, I’m on vacation, but had to write something about Tunechi.  I wish him well.  He’s a soldier so I’m sure he’ll pull through and will be back to work soon.  Now I’m back to my vacay and will catch up with you guys soon!!!
