On March 11, 2013 a six month-old babygirl named Jonylah Watkins lost her life to senseless gunfire in the Woodlawn area of Chicago. The gunmen were trying to kill her father, but accidentally struck her while the father was changing her diaper. In this dedication song, Jonylah Forever, the Chi-Town bred Lupe Fiasco spit lyrics of premonitions as if the girl lived to be a grown adult. Rest in peace Jonylah. #StopTheViolence |
