Trey Songz Says Ne-Yo Is A Sucka For Calling Him Emotionless Posted: 11 Aug 2012 06:02 PM PDT Trey Songz and Ne-Yo got beef. Earlier this week Ne-Yo sat down on Power 105.1 The Breakfast Club and spoke about everything under the sun (see above). When asked about the state of R&B, Ne-Yo stated that most R&B today lacks emotion and that’s the main reason why the genre is suffering. Ne-Yo specifically named Trey Songz as one of the artist making good songs, but lacking the emotion to make great song Trey believable. It’s a matter of opinion, but Trey Songz took it personal, because he knows Ne-Yo and think he could have called him on the phone and gave his critisim instead of putting it on air like that! Trey thinks it was a sucka move on Trey’s part. Here’s what Trey told KMEL,
Ne-Yo took more time out his day so he could make it clear on his stance of Trey lacking emotions. JasmineBrand gives us more from Ne-Yo,

Drake Beats Jay-Z For Billboard’s Most Chart Topping Singles Posted: 11 Aug 2012 10:37 AM PDT Drake made Billboard history by surpassing Jay-Z in the most chart topping singles category. That’s right Drake has had more singles hit the top of the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop charts than Jay-Z. Drizzy’s latest gold plaque for the single “No Lie” which he was featured on brought his total to 10 top charting singles, while Jay-Z remains with 9 singles and N*ggas In Paris being his last chart topper. Congratulations to the multi-talented Canadian. He’s the first rap artist to reach ten No. 1 singles in Billboard history. Jay-Z’s been doing this since the 90′s, Drake is fresh in the game — it’s scary to see where he’s at ten years from now (hopefully, still relevant). Much props! Definitely a great feat! Respect! |

2 Chainz Talks About “I Luv Dem Strippers” And Explain His Dislike Of Remixes Posted: 10 Aug 2012 08:53 PM PDT 2 Chainz sits down with Rap-Up TV to talk his upcoming album Based On A T.R.U. Story. He speaks particularly about one single I Luv Dem Strippers which features . He also talks about why he dislike remixes. He feel the song becomes saturated a song because saturated after it’s remixed so many times. I can’t get with Two’s idea of remixes. Supporting that means I support the idea of “no sampling”, but I do. I can see the art behind remaking someone’s personal work! I think there is still creativity within remixes and big discussion around who’s remix was better. Just like when everyone had their own version of Lloyd Banks “Beamer, Benz, & Bentley” it was major discussion of who’s version was better and the original version took a backseat sometimes. I know in the NYC area Joell Ortiz pretty much swagger jacked the track and his version was played on NY radio station more than the original. Hip hop is completely built of the principal of borrowing someone else’s work (beats, style, lines, etc.) and enhancing on the original work. I love hip hop too much to support 2 Chainz comment about remixes, but hey everyone is entitled to their own opinion!! No beef wit’ the homie! Just got my own way of thinking. 2 Chainz still that n*gga and his album is going to be that ~ish. Make sure you grab your copy! It drops Tuesday 8/14. |
