Jay-Z a longtime Yankees fan announces a brand deal with his favorite baseball team. Jay-Z’s Rocawear imprint will begin display advertising within the Yankees stadium. They will put on prominent displays throughout the stadium with other integrated promotions for the 2012 season. Jay-Z has always expressed his love for the team and he has single handedly made the ‘Yankee hat more famous than the Yankee can’ as he stated on the track Empire State Of Mind. Jigga even video recorded Derek Jeter 3,000th hit while sitting at the 3rd baseline. Rocawear marketing executive Jameel Spencer says, “Jay-Z has been a long-time fan of the Yankees, regularly attends games and has even included his favorite team in song lyrics, so this was a natural partnership.
