Reebok Drops Rick Ross As A Partner After Pressure From Anti-Rape Groups Posted: 12 Apr 2013 07:21 AM PDT Reebok has felt the pressure from the anti-rape groups, specifically Ultra Violet who signed a petition to have Reebok drop Rick Ross as an endorsement partner. Rozay’s date rape lyrics on Rocko’s track U.O.E.N.O. is what prompted the controversy. Even Rocko has removed Rick Ross verse from the track and replaced it with a verse from Wiz Khalifa. Reebok told TMZ,
For his two lines of insensitivity it has cost Ross dearly. He has been banned from radio stations, locked out of concert venues, removed from the song and now he lost his Reebok deal. I’d expect him to bounce back from all of this, but in my opinion he needs to chill from putting out any music for a few months. It might be a good time to focus on his weight and health. |
The White House Responds To Jay-Z “Open Letter” Track Posted: 11 Apr 2013 07:56 PM PDT Jay-Z has rubbed some the wrong way with his political diss song and Cuban affiliation which he defends his recent Cuba trip. White House reporters questioned Jay Carney about the lyrics and if Jigga got the President’s consent to go to Cuba. Jay Carney says Jay-Z did not speak with President Barack Obama and he took the legal route of getting authorization from the US Treasury for his Cuban visit. |
