Beanie Sigel Sentenced To 2 Years In Prison For Tax Evasion

Philadelphia rapper Beanie Sigel has been sentenced to 24 months of jail time for failing to pay taxes on nearly $2 million dollars.

The prosecution says Beanie failed to pay $348,000 in taxes from 2003 through 2005.  Sigel pleaded guilty to failing to file income tax returns during that period.  Prosecution also revealed that he failed to file tax returns from 1999 through 2002 which he failed to pay $380,459 in taxes.

U.S. District Judge Jan E. Dubois ordered Beanie to report to prison September 12th.  The judge also ordered Sigel to pay all taxes, penalties, and interest as determined by the IRS.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Paul L. Gray wrote in a sentencing memo that Sigel “has utterly failed to cooperate with the probation officer’s attempts to determine his current financial condition.”

Gray wrote that Sigel, of Lansdale, was allowed several continuances so he could earn money to begin paying restitution to the IRS. Sigel has paid nothing, Gray said.

“For all we know, [Sigel] has earned a significant sum of money and simply squirreled it away, out of the reach of the government. He would not even cooperate with the probation officer to permit a home visit,” Gray wrote, “a most basic part of the presentence procedure.”

Beans recently signed a new deal with Ruffhouse Records.  The CEO, Chris Schwartz, is standing behind Beanie and released a statement showing faith in the jailed artist.

Beanie can’t seem to get a break!  Every time he takes a step forward there’s an obstacle which makes him take a step back.

Roscoe Dash got into a light Twitter beef with Meek Mill when Roscoe tweeted about the Chris Brown and Drake beef, but implicated Meek Mill in the fight.  Meek Mill told him to stay in his lane, but Roscoe came back with a snappy tweet.  ThisIs50.com caught up with Roscoe and asked him about the Twitter beef.

Lil Wayne Jump Off Jumps On Twitter To Defend Her Relationship With Weezy

Lil Wayne was caught sleeping earlier this week and his jumpoff instagramed a picture of the two while Weezy slept like a baby.  The photo went viral and there was quite a bit of backlash, many calling the woman a groupie.  Well the groupie has decided to defend herself via Twitter.  Here’s what she had to say,

Charlamagne Tha God Gets Punched And Almost Jumped By 5 NY Thugs

Early this morning Charlamagne Tha God got approached by some guys outside Hot 97 radio station asking for a “drop”.  When Charlamagne said “What is it with you guys and these drops?” a man in the background came out of no where and snuck a punch to the back of his head.

As soon as Charlamagne was struck he took off running, which is the normal reaction for most people.  He ran in a way he didn’t know what happened, but he gathered himself and checked his surroundings only to find that five goons was on his ass trying to jump him.

The crew caught the assault on camera.  It’s almost like they wanted to re-enact the Game and 40 Glocc fight.  Let’s hope this isn’t a new trend!!  Lucky Charlamagne escaped with his life.  He better stop talking smack about NYC, people ain’t playing, but I doubt his foolish a** will stop the antics.
