Sherman Hemsley {George Jefferson) Dies At 74 Years Old

Sherman Hemsley the actor who played George Jefferson on the hit 1970′s television series The Jeffersons passed away today at the age of 74.  Reportedly, his nurse found his lifeless body in his El Paso home.

Sherman started on the series All In The Family which co-starred Archie Bunker.  Doing such a good job with the role and there being a high demand for his character, The Jeffersons was born.  Hemsely also played Deacon Ernest Frye on the TV series Amen.

The reason for his death is currently unknown, but the story is developing.  There doesn’t seem to be any foul play involved and speculation is suggesting he likely passed away due to natural causes.  Sherman does not have a surviving spouse or children.  Rest in peace!

BET Bans Rick Ross “Hold Me Back” Video

Reportedly, BET has made the decision to pass on airing Rick Ross newest video Hold Me Back which is off his upcoming album God Forgives I Don’t.  Currently no reason have been given as to why BET banned the video, but I’d suspect something within is too gruesome or unruly.

The video’s director, Taj, took to his Twitter to express his disappointment in the ban.  Here’s what he had to say,

G.O.O.D. Music Announces Collab Album “Cruel Summer” Dropping September

Kanye West and his crew G.O.O.D. Music gives us a release date for their highly anticipated debut collaboration album titled, Cruel Summer.  It drops September 4th.  Kanye has worked hard to put his team together.  He has a nice crew, full of talent.  I can only imagine how amazing this album will be come the fourth of September.
