Shawty Lo Talks About “All My Babies Mamas” Cancellation

Posted: 18 Jan 2013 03:05 PM PST

Earlier this week Oxygen network announced that they were canceling the Shawty Lo program titled All My Babies Mamas which features his 10 baby mothers and 11 kids.

A petition was started by lead hater, Sabrina Lamb, to ban the show before it ever aired.  Oxygen fell victim to the pressure and axed the show.  Hopefully another network who isn’t afraid of a little backlash and okay with showing ratchetness (un-uhm MTV), will pick it up.

T.I. Shops For A $75 Million Dollar Label Signing Deal

Tip trying to get signed for seventy-five million dollars

The contract between Atlanta rapper, T.I. and Atlantic Records has come to it’s end about a month ago, so now it’s time for the free agent to find a new home.  T.I. has put together his own deal package with a hefty $75 million price tag.  It includes the signing of his Grand Hustle label and royalties from his television, touring, merchandising, etc.  Here’s the deal he’s seeking:

* 3 albums
* 10-20 percent of publishing, touring, merchandise, film and TV rights
* Corporate endorsement deals
* Exclusive signing of all Grand Hustle artists

It’s reported that T.I. recently ate dinner at Katana in West Hollywood, CA with Dr. Dre, who asked Tip to join him at Interscope.  He’s also been in talks with Jay-Z, who wants him under the Roc Nation umbrella.

Wherever T.I. lands it seems like he’ll be in good company.  Both these companies have the money he’s looking for and both can propel his brand.  Good luck to the KANG!

Chief Keef Sentenced To 60 Days In Juvenile Detention

Chief Keef Sentenced to 2 Months In Juvy

Chief Keef went before a judge today after being arrested the other day for violation of his parole.  Last year the Chicago teen went to a gun range where Pitchfork filmed the youngster shooting and handling firearms, but a judge had already ordered him to stay away from guns.

The judge was hating and instead of letting him go home to continue his music career he sentenced Keef to 60 days in juvenile detention.  However, I’m sure if it was Lindsay Lohan she’d probably get a slap on the wrist with no jail time whatsoever.

It’s reported that Chief Keef pleaded with the judge not to send him back to jail and he even shed tears, but I’m having a difficult time believing this.  Some report that it was his mother doing the pleading and crying, which sounds more believable.

It’s not that I believe Chief Keef is incapable of crying, because we’ve all seen The First 48 and know what happens when the pressure is on, but I just can’t believe he’d cry for a sixty day bid.  That’s just weak!

Anyway, hold ya’ head youngin’.  This is a good time to crank out raps for your sophomore project.  See you in March.
